This climber has the unusual colour of an apricot, becoming pinker as the flowers age. The medium to large size blooms are full petalled and develop like cluster flowered roses, having high centres in the young flowers and becoming cupped with wave petals as they progress. It is a great rose for flower arrangements as the blooms are long lasting and hold their colour well when cut, old flowers on the plant are best dead headed. Flowering continues through summer and autumn, with a pleasing fragrance. The growth is stiff and upright, to average height, and if it is to be trained sideways this needs to be done early while the long stems are still pliable. Does best on a south facing aspect. Medium green foliage and a good health record.

This highly recommended charity rose was named by Britain's Royal College Of Midwives, which signifies both the Creator Spirit in Genesis and everybody's first vital act on coming into the world.

AWARDS: Japan Certificate Of Merit, 1983. New Zealand Certificate Of Merit, 1985.
