An outstanding rose and all time favourite and probably the most famous hybrid tea rose in the world. Named to commemorate the end of World War II this beautiful rose still sells by the millions around the globe. Golden yellow blooms suffused with cerise pink. Repeat flowering and the blooms hold their colour and form whatever the weather. Glossy rich green foliage and a lovely perfume, what more could you possibly want in a rose. A delightful rose which will stay popular for ever.

Towards the end of 1945 'Peace' roses were given to each of the delegations at the inaugural meeting of the United Nations in San Francisco each with a note which read "We hope the 'Peace' rose will influence men's thoughts for everlasting world peace"

AWARDS: Portland Gold Medal 1944. All American Rose Selection 1946. American Rose Society Gold Medal 1947. National Rose Society Gold Medal 1947. The Hague Golden Rose 1965. Royal Horticultural Society Award Of Garden Merit 1993.

Peace was voted the World's Favourite Rose in 1976 by the World Federation Of Rose Societies. The Federation also entered Peace into the Society's Rose Hall Of Fame in 1976 an honour shared with just 15 other roses:
