Alberic Barbier Rose
A vigorous rambling rose with creamy white flushed yellow blooms and good glossy foliage. The flowers on Alberic Barbier are somewhat larger than most ramblers which makes it quite distinctive. The fully double blooms are formed in small clusters.
A very versatile rose which can stand a shady position and is suitable for growing up a north wall. It is also a fantastic rose for growing up into a tree. Or you can even let the beautiful rose ramble on the floor as a very large, attractive ground cover rose.
One of a very few rambling rose that repeat flower with a strong, delicious apple fragrance.
This rose makes a perfect gift for a garden lover.
Alberic Barbier was bred in France, 1860 in the Barbier nursery which was also responsible for several other famous rambling roses, including 'Albertine' and 'Francois Juranville'.
Winner of the Royal Horticultural Society, Award of Garden Merit, 1993.
