Frequently Asked Questions

Having been supplying high quality roses and information for the past twenty years, we have come to notice that a lot of the same questions creep up again and again. So here's our quick run down of the answers. If you can't find an answer to your question here, please get in touch with us via e-mail, or send us a message here.

Q. WHERE IS MY CONFIRMATION E-MAIL?
A. Sometimes, as we are a business, our confirmation e-mails are blocked by junk and spam filters. Please check your spam box for our confirmation e-mail before contacting us. If you still cannot find your confirmation e-mail after 24 hours, please get in touch with us by e-mail or telephone to check that we received your order.

Q. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 'POTTED GIFT ROSE' AND A 'POTTED ROSE'?
A. A Potted Gift Rose is delivered gift wrapped with a gift label and a gift bow attached to the rose with a gift card in the pack and it is possible to choose the date you wish your rose to arrive by. A Potted Rose is delivered within a 10 working day period and has a plain printed label attached and does not include the gift items.

Q. WHAT WILL THE POTTED GIFT ROSE LOOK LIKE ON DELIVERY?
A. Your rose is potted into a 5-7 litre plastic container, which is then bagged and strapped into a box 2-3 feet tall. It will then be delivered via APC courier service. The box is for protection during transit only and is not a presentation box.

Q. HOW DOES THE NAME YOUR OWN SERVICE WORK?
A. When you buy a Name Your Own rose, you are personalising one rose as you would personalise an item of jewellery. Country Garden Roses owns the rights to all three varieties of Name Your Own roses, which means they cannot be sold elsewhere. If in the future you wanted to purchase the same rose in the same name, you can do this simply by placing another order. Please see our Terms and Conditions.

Q. WILL THE NAME I USE FOR A NAME YOUR OWN ROSE BE FEATURED ON THE WEBSITE?
A. Not at the current time, but this is something we are hoping to implement in the form of a Name Your Own Rose Hall of Fame.

Q. WHEN WILL THE POTTED GIFT ROSE I HAVE ORDERED BE DELIVERED?
A. On the standard delivery which is included in the cost of your potted rose, we try to dispatch roses to be delivered within 24 hours of your requested delivery date.

Q. WHEN WILL THE POTTED ROSE I HAVE ORDERED BE DELIVERED?
A. The potted non-gift service is dispatched once a week, your rose will be delivered by the Friday of that week, or the following Monday at the latest.

Q. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CLIMBING ROSE AND A RAMBLING ROSE?
A. A rambler will flower on the previous year's growth, whereas a climber flowers on new growth only. Therefore ramblers do not need to be pruned; only tiding and removing die back.
